The issue of scale has forever been prevalent in architecture. The microhome offers the design of a new scale of building that can be rapidly deployed to provide high quality design housing for many. Mass customization would aid in the economic feasibility of this proposal as all the thirty units in this community would be the same. In this proposal, the main parts of the program are located on the landings of the stair. One becomes the kitchen, the next becomes the living space, and the final one becomes the bedroom. The sectional play allows for maximum use of space while generating a distinct and varied form. The form allows for there to be differentiation from each unit simply by rotating the building. The proposal offers a vision of a self sufficient community, designed to be economically feasible and environmentally responsible.
